"By the Time, man is in a state of loss indeed,
except those who believed and did righteous deeds, and exhorted each other to
follow truth, and exhorted each other to observe patience." (Quran,
103:1-3)
The reaction of any action is reflected into both
positive and negative aspects which either makes life very complicated or bring
guiding light for others. Some may view a mountainous situ as a grain or
grained situ as a mountain. This interpretation of situation is an outcome of
thought pattern. Therefore, life is diverse in values as found in every
individual grain.
A drama writer writes various roles in a drama. Though
same activity of life is responsible in any act in playing its two roles.
Firstly, playing role collectively in the drama and secondly, living life as an
individual. The individuality is the identity of person. Taking into account
only the individual aspect of any life let it difficult to live without other
roles. Let us try to resolve the intricacy of collective and individual aspects
of life.
Majnoon (an historical character for romantic
folklores) was sifting sand, an intellectual passed by him. He asked him the
purpose of sifting? Majnoon threw a gaze on him and remained busy in his work.
The intellectual sat beside him and asked how long has been since he is
sifting? Majnoon nodded head, and said, I don't know. Intellectual asked him,
what he is looking for? Majnoon replied 'Layla', very excitingly. Intellectual
asked him in surprise if she is living in sand. Majnoon said, yes, that is why
grains are shining. It is none other than Layla, whose beauty is reflected in
each grain of sand.
A Majnoon kind of person gazed an unprecedented
beauty, in a moonlit glimpse with a deer-like eyes. He fell unconscious. The
moment he got back to his senses, he completely fell in love with her. Many
physicians tried to bring him back to his common senses, but every attempt was
futile. At a point, after an advice of a physician his elders requested girl's
elders for marriage, which was immediately accepted.
Physician also suggested, they should delay marriage
and continue visiting the girl's family, until patient becomes able to hold the
intense beauty of girl. Gradually both families started mingling each other
frequently, and man became stable while family gathering. Later, after few
months the marriage ceremony was held at a happy ending.
There was a bread maker used to present before Khwaja
Baqi Billah (RA) most of his time. Once some guest visited Khwaja Baqi Billah
(RA).
He was bit worried due to non-availability of anything
for hosting before guests. The bread maker noticed it and quickly arranged food
for the guests. Khwaja Baqi Billah (RA) became very happy with him and told him
to ask anything which he desires? The bread maker said, let me be like you.
Khwaja Baqi Billah (RA) took him into his room and looked at him a unified
gaze. The bread maker became identical to Khwaja Baqi Billah (RA). People could
hardly notice the difference between them. They differ only in attitude, the
bread maker was in unconscious state, while Khwaja Baqi Billah (RA) was always
in normal state. Three days later the bread maker passed away.
Allah has blessed human being the knowledge of the
universe, it means human being has the ability to know Allah, or in other words
the capacity of human mind is large enough to accommodate knowledge of gigantic
universe followed by Allah's will.
"Light upon light. Allah guides to His light
whomoever He wills." (Quran, 24:35)
Noor on Noor-points to capacity of abilities. The
bread maker didn't have the capacity of Khwaja Baqi Billah (RA) at his
conscious level, therefore he died.
Example: We dream ourselves in various state, such as
flying; though one can fly in dream or during state of unconscious, but falls
down if he intends to do fly during awake. The desire to fly, which fulfils in
dream but unable to do same while awaken indicates that man has capability to
fly. The difference between the two states is the gradual capacity. During
unconscious the sense of speed is meaningless, on the contrary during conscious
we became aware of speed gradually-piece by piece.
The stages of awareness are similar whether it is
unconscious or conscious state of mind. An artist has an ability. While
dreaming oneself as an artist is an acquisition of knowledge of artist. Also a
man becomes an artist after acquiring knowledge of artist. Ability-is the range
of capacity.
1. The
ability of bread maker was different than the Khwaja Baqi Billah (RA),
therefore he moved from one zone to another zone.
2. A
Majnoon like person got married until the time came when he became able to
remain stable in the presence of that kind of beauty.
Everything is reflecting its ability and it is ability
that is becoming life. Life is appearing in one moment and disappearing in
moment followed. Grain becomes grains, grains gather to become hump, hump
turned into an inclined surface, while inclination becomes a mound and mounds
rise into a mountain. The cogent point in aforementioned fact is everything at
the end appears as an entirely new shape. The Great Creator, Allah said,
"We have created man from an extract of clay.
Then We made him a sperm-drop in a firm resting place. Then We turned the
sperm-drop into a clot, then We turned the clot into a fetus-lump, then We
turned the fetus-lump into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh;
thereafter We developed it into another creature. So, glorious is Allah, the
Best of the creators." Quran, 23:12-14)
Various phases of life beginning from a drop came into
being in this world are narrated in this verse are:
Salaala-Nutfa-
Alaqa-Mudgha-Izama-Lehma-Creation
Birth, childhood, adulthood, old hood and death are various
quantities. One furnishes his childhood abilities to get into adulthood,
adulthood shape morphed into old hood and finally he disappears from the face
of earth.
Every phenomenon is proportional to its capacities.
Capacity is a vastness-that is the quantity of expansion or rarefaction. Every
capacity is limited by its quantities, which at the end cease to show its
phenomenal existence. In other words, at the end, they always disappear.
1. If age
of Zaid is sixty years, he will not live even a moment longer than this. After
sixty years he will cease to exist or disappear from face of earth.
2. If
'magnitude' is greater than hold by the mental faculties, state of asleep
overwhelms the conscious and person gets into sleep.
3. Attitude
like expressing or ignoring anger, and retribution, to name a few are well
proportionated quantities.
4. When
night covers the day, quantity of night start raising, until they attain their
peak value. It is all about phenomenal expression of quantities, well proportionated.
Days and nights are continuously swapped when they reach their well-regulated
proportionated values.
5. An
invention shows the limits of our mind capacities. Aero plane is invented, when
human mind got acquaintance with an altitude of about twenty-five thousand
feet.
A phrase is absolute in itself, but people understand
according to their abilities. To give a space, one has to leave a space. If
mind is not empty of all other thoughts, it lacks the right interpretation of
subject. For example, interpretation of about fifty students of their single
teacher might lead to fifty diverse opinions. The point taught by teacher is
one and unique in its interpretation, but students grasp the gist according to
their capacity. It may be possible a student may grasp the gist as meant by
teacher.
A young man visited a skillful person and asked him
how long it would take to learn his skill set. The person replied, ten years.
Young man again raised the question, if he spent days
and night whole heartedly before him, then how long it would take? The person
looked at him for a while and said, twenty years.
Behaviour is an outcome of capabilities. Life is
passed by more in reactive attitude than the action. To act is an obedience and
to react is a disobedience. Experience reveals that lack of patience intricates
matters, while overlooking saves one from indulging into further difficulties.
Allah does not involve anyone into troubles more than his capacities. A person
earns fruit of his deeds whether blessing for his goodness or wrath for his
evilness. Allah is merciful, He overlooks many bad acts made by an individual.
Pardon-is to overlook a matter. Allah said,
"Good and evil are not equal. Repel evil with
what is best, and you will see that the one you had mutual enmity with him will
tum as if he were a close friend. And no one is blessed with this attitude but
those who observe patience, and no one is blessed with this attitude but a man
of great luck and should a stroke from Satan strike you, seek refuge with Allah.
Surely, He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing." (Quran, 41:34-36)
Hardship follows the ease and vice versa. Life is traversed
in two states. Vastness in capacity lead to balance in life. Meat is softened
when it is heated. A break in providing heat or cooking will stop the process
of softening. It is therefore, a continuous small amount of heat while cooking
would soft the meat. Similarly, though little in magnitude, but continuous
process of act leads to consistency. And consistency reveals the set of capabilities.
It puts an individual on a path, which is followed by people who are rewarded
by Allah.
"Surely We will test you with a bit of fear and
hunger, and loss in wealth and lives and fruits, and give good tidings to the
patient, who, when a suffering visits them, say: We certainly belong to Allah,
and to Him we are bound to return. Those are the ones upon whom there are
blessings from their Lord, and mercy as well; and those are the ones who are on
the right path." (Quran, 2: 155-157)
On the Earth surface mountains are subject to occupy
largest volume as compared to other objects. Despite its gigantic volume, they
lack the capacity to hold Tajalliyat (lighter form of divine light). Capacity
is associated to the inner self of any object.
"And you see the mountains supposing them as
fixed, while they will fly like the flight of clouds - an act of Allah who has
perfected everything. Surely, He is AllAware of what you do." (Quran, 27:
88)
"Had We sent down this Quran to a mountain, you
would have seen it humbled, burst apart out of awe for Allah. We cite such
examples for people, so that they may ponder." (Quran, 59:21)
The phrases being floating or crushed into grains lead
to a conclusion that mountains hold conscious. They know exactly their
capacity, and they are unable to hold Amanah (special knowledge) from Allah.
However, when human made their consent, Allah said, indeed human is cruel and
illiterate.
Materialistic viewpoint lacks the vision of reality.
Any one cannot get acquaintance with reality, until and unless reality reveals
itself before his capacity. A man becomes aware of reality, when he lives in
compliance with '' ایاک نعبدو ایاک نستعین'' and
consider Allah an absolute source. Patience is a practice to extend the
capacity of one's self. The gradual increase in patience leads to stability.
"Surely, Allah is with those who are
patient." (Quran, 2:153)
A man is delivered what he endeavours. A person who
remains consistent with his patience, Allah gradually enhances his capacity.
Every act of Prophet (PBUH) was absolutely in compliance with Allah, a
compliance which is attributed with performance of all acts thinking neutrally,
non-polarized.
Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) exemplified in his reply to
Hazrat Khadija (RA) at one occasion, "When it is revealed upon an
individual that he is facing all misery and troubles for whom. He gets immune
to feelings of pain and misery."
Allah said, "By the Time, man is in a state of
loss indeed, except those who believed and did righteous deeds, and exhorted
each other to follow truth, and exhorted each other to observe patience."
(Quran, 103:1-3)
Allah Hafiz
Summary:
1. Life becomes
complicated if there is one act and many reactions.
2. Though
incapable to observe, but Allah's will makes it possible.
3. The
conscious capacity of bread maker wasn't able to hold the conscious capability
of Khwaja Baqi Billah (RA).
4. Every
object and their behaviours express their abilities corresponding to their
capacities. Interpretation varies until and unless mind becomes empty of all
thoughts.
5. The
consistency in determinship leads to revelations.
6. Capacity
belongs to the inner self of an individual and continuous patience is key to
increase capacity.
7. Women and men holding true knowledge (Rasikh fil ilm) are affirmed in their belief that every act is by the Allah.
