Importance of a Silsila
When ignorance and infidelity are at their peak and
darkness engulfs everything, God in His infinite Mercy sent His Prophets to guide mankind to let them
know that Divine Guidance is the primary need of man. This Divine knowledge
brings awareness in mankind on how the universe came into existence and the
creative formulae that are operative in its creation. It also throws light on
why Adam was created, his existence before his arrival on to this world and
where he is transferred after his life here on Earth. The Divine Guidance also
raises awareness about how the Earth, sun, moon and the other celestial systems
were created and the systems are operative in them. As per the state of
consciousness prevalent in mankind and their desire to realize the truth,
selected Saints and Sages across different eras, formulated lessons and
exercises to assist them on the path to cognition of self and their Creator.
These lessons were taught through organizes spiritual schools, which were
called the Silsila.
The Silsila-e-Azeemia widely
known as the Azeemi Spiritual Sufi Order, has a global reach with
followers in Pakistan, UK, USA, Austria, Serbia, Russia, Australia, Canada,
India, China, Hungary, Thailand & various countries of the Middle east. It
was initiated in the year 1960 by the renowned Sufi Saint and Scholar, Qalandar
Baba Auliya. In this modern age of science, mankind accepts only that which is
presented with scientific backing and elaborated through logic. In this
light, Silsila Azeemia was initiated with the mission of raising the awareness
in people that their true status is beyond their physical existence. The
mission is also to align mankind to the path of ascension through meditative
contemplation (Muraqaba). The learnings are simplified and made easy for the
general mass to comprehend and move towards highest levels of consciousness
that leads to the cognition of their Lord Creator.
The Founder of the Silsila is
called the Imam. The Imam of Silsial Azeemia, His divine Grace Hassan Ukhra
Syed Mohammad Azeem Burkhiya alis Qalander Baba Auliya, was born in the
town of Khorja, District Buland Shehr, Utter Pradesh, India in 1898 AD. The gist
of the teachings of Qalander Baba Auliya is that man was not created only to
strive for his sustenance. The actual purpose of creating man was for him to
attain self-realization and cognize his merciful benefactor; Holy Prophet
(PBUH) and his Creator God. Qalandar Baba Auliya transferred from his physical
body on 27th January, 1979. He appointed his student, Khwaja
Shamsuddin Azeemi as his successor and Khanwada. Khanwada is a person the Imam-e-Silsila
selects to transfer his mind and the latter becomes the replica of the Imam.
