NOV 2013- Guardian Of Faith ‘Hussain’

Ruler is Hussain, Emperor is Hussain,
Faith is Hussain, guardian of faith is Hussain

Offered his head and not the hand to Yazid

Truly, the foundation of faith (there is no god but Allah) is

Hussain

(Hazrat Moeenuddin Chishti Ajmeri)

Two thought patterns dominate this world. One is constructive and the other is destructive. Constructive thought pattern acquaints man with peace and tranquility whereas destructive thought pattern brings distress, discomfort, anguish and misery in life. The creator of this Universe created it with affection and warmth and made it a place of bliss, affection, honesty, trustworthiness. The colours of this Universe, glow of moon in dark nights, shining sun amid day, star studded sky, life supporting gases, tunes of trees and plants in commendation of their Lord, creation of earth and its depths as well as mysteries of skies---- all this was made for peace, happiness and fulfillment of man. No one was deprived of generous endowments of nature.

When we delve into the intricacies of this pleasant life, we come to realize that sacrifice is fundamental to every sentiment. There is nothing in this earth except Allah gifted capability to create. The act of keeping seed safe and healthy and nourishing it is nothing but sacrifice and a selfless service by earth.

At the point when man contemplates his presence in this world, he doesn't end up anywhere before conception. The lives of prophets especially the life of our Holy Prophet (SAW) was marked by a deep sense of responsibility for human beings. They were always ready to sacrifice for the welfare of others; constantly prepared to renounce their comfort for the welfare of others.

Hazrat Imam Hussain, learnt the lessons of sacrifice and magnanimity from his commended grandfather (SAW). He knew all aspects of his grandfather's life. He was also mindful of the difficulties the Prophet (SAW) came across in making people know

II of truth or Haq. The noble life of the husband of the dear daughter of the Prophet (SAW) and his father, Syedna Ali Murtaza(Raz) was also before him. Sacrifice in Allah's way, therefore, became the most unmistakable feature of his life. Courage produced by unshakable faith in Allah guided him throughout his life. Acceptance of what comes from Allah, sacrifice in the way of Allah, and emerge selflessly as an example before common people were the tradition he inherited.

The background of Karbala is so painful that it makes everyone sad, tearful and miserable.

Imam Hussain (Raz) became a victim of a hateful conspiracy. The dearest grandson of the Prophet (SAW) exhibited the qualities of his grandfather and father. An uninterrupted tradition of sacrifice for Allah began from the Prophet (SAW) and ended at the sacrifice of our master Imam Hussain. His sacrifice indelibly highlighted the difference between truth and deceit.

قتل حسینؑ اصل میں مرگ یزید ہے

اسلام زندہ ہوتا ہے ہر کربلہ کے بعد

(مولانا محمد علی جوہر)

(Hussain's martyrdom is in fact death of Yazid. Islam is revived after a Karbala) (Maulana Muhammad Ali Jauhar)

Islam is the religion of peace and humanity. It condemns discrimination. The Prophet (SAW) granted freedom and concessions to non-Muslims at a time when people were unaware of non-discrimination and tolerance.

The Holy Quran advocates internal freedom for all in matters specific to them such as worship in accordance with beliefs as well as in matters relating to adjudication.

The Holy Quran says: "We commanded that followers of the Bible decide their matters in accordance with the law Allah gave them" (5:47)

As per these injunctions, every section of society was allowed to live freely. Christian and Jews were invited to cooperate. It was said: "For every nation there is a Hadi" (13:7) and "Every nation is guided by a messenger". (47:10)

These teachings based on religious tolerance and freedom points ton firm decision that every human being deserved to be respected and tolerated.

"Those who believe (in the Qur'an),and those who follow the Jewish (scriptures),and the Christians and the Sabians, -- any who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and work righteousness, shall have their reward with their Lord; on them shall be no fear. Nor shall they grieve." (2-62)

Islam is the name of bringing humanity and followers of all the religions together and inviting them to hold Allah's decrees firmly.

And this was the legacy that Abraham left to his sons, and so did Jacob; "Oh my sons! Allah hath chosen the Faith for you; then die not except in the Faith of Islam." (2:132)

According to Islam Allah's creature is His family. The religion that considers all the creatures part of a family, how can it damage Allah's creature. Religion is nothing but blessing, peace and security for all, Islam is the name of respecting life and property of others. It does not allow hurting the religious sentiments of others.

We might be different in race and religion but we all drink water gifted by Allah and breath oxygen created by Allah. Sun shines on everyone and we all were created with similar matter, We all enjoy happiness and grieve when feel hurt or pained. We all come in this world for a while and then die. We spends a very limited time in this world. It should be spent with happiness and harmony.

Once a group of Christian leaders visited the Prophet (SAW). The Prophet (SAW) arranged their stay in his mosque. The Christians said that they wanted to offer prayers. The Prophet (SAW) allowed them to pray in the mosque as per Christian teaching.
