Take cotton thread of blue colour equal to
seven lengths of the patient's body length fold it to make it short enough that
it could be worn around the neck. Recite
بِسْمِ
اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيم
فَبِاَیِّ
اٰلَآ ءِ رَبِکُمَا تَکَذِبَانِ
Once and make a knot in the string fold. Thus
recite these words 20 times more and make 21 knots in total at equal distances
in the string. Make the patient to wear this knotted string around his neck.
Upon recovery of the patient throw this string into a canal, stream or river.

I, as a faqeer (humble seeker), have fulfilled the spiritual obligations (zakat) for these practices. I now offer this spiritual grace to Allah’s creatures, and through the intercession of our Last Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H.), I earnestly pray that Allah, the Almighty, accepts this effort and grants His servants health, shielding them from hardships, tribulations, and suffering.
